I have been approached by a few scouts who are concerned with requirement 9a for 2nd class;

"Participate in a school, community, or troop program on the dangers of using drugs, alcohol, and tobacco, and other practices that could be harmful to your health. Discuss your participation in the program with your family, and explain the dangers of substance addictions."

It is with a heavy heart that I send this announcement. Fr. Don Quinn, associate pastor of Our Lady of the Greenwood, passed away last night.

There are a wide variety of trainings offered through our local Scout Office.  I have posted the offerings they have listed for Novemver, December and January in the Files Section, under the Training folder under the Adult Training folder. 

Scouting for Food
It is never too early to think about or annual Kroger Scouting for Food drive. This is an outstanding opportunity for your Scouts to be involved in a service project that will benefit hundreds of families in their own communities.
